The export of Italian wines in the first 7 months of 2024 reaches 4.6 billion euros. A growth of 4.1% over the same period 2023 and +1% in the first half of 2024. The volumes are in line with the first half of the year volumes that have settled at 1.26 billion hectolitres (+2.6%).

The USA, the World’s leading importer of Italian wine, continues to grow: +7.3% worth €1.12 billion. Both Germany (+1.4% and a value of 692.8 million euros) and the United Kingdom (+2.2% and a value of 464.4 million euros) are growing. Switzerland remains among the main markets with 228.4 million euros but loses 2.7%, Canada grows by 2% with 210.8 million euros.

France (-4.6% and 186.4 million euros) and Belgium (-2.7 and 126.2 million euros) are down, but the Netherlands (+6.4% and 147.2 million euros), Sweden (+5% and 125.2 million euros), Austria (+18% and 94.6 million euros) and Denmark (+3.2% and 87.6 million euros) are rising.

Russia recovers 71.3% on the value of the same period in 2023 and, with 138.3 million euros, confirm its importance in terms of italian wine export. Japan +4.7% and 116.5 million euros, while China and South Korea dropped 14.5% and 2.1% respectively (50 and 31.2 million euros).
