The Venezie DOC has recorded an increase in bottling of 4% (a total of 1.7 million hectolitres). This trend seems likely to continue into the current year, according to the first data of 2025.

The export of the Denomination doubles its turnover since its creation in 2017, reaching a peak of +117% in 7 years and reaching the first place in Italy for production of still wines (10% of the national production).

Since 2000 the total number of hectares planted with vines has increased by double digits in Veneto (+38%), Friuli-Venezia Giulia (+53%) and Trentino-Alto Adige, almost in contrast to the European trend that saw some important wine areas adopt explant.

“The Consorzio Doc delle Venezie is today the largest model of interregional integration, uniting under a single designation of origin the territories of Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the Autonomous Province of Trento. The name today has a potential vineyard area of about 27 thousand hectares and an annual production of 230 million bottles marked and equipped with the State Mark, equivalent to about 70% of the total production of Pinot Grigio del Triveneto.” This is the comment of Albino Armani, president of the Consorzio delle Venezie.

The Consorzio delle Venezie and its flagship product, the Pinot Grigio delle Venezie, have proved to be an important asset in the national panorama, able to give a generous contribute to the global leadership in terms of production and exported volumes.
